To Our Clinic:
From Wilkes-Barre and Dallas: Take Rt. 309 North to Rt. 29 North. Cross the Susquehanna river bridge into
Tunkhannock. To bypass the center of town, turn left at the stoplight at the end of the bridge. You'll be on the Rt. 6 bypass
heading west. You'll travel about 1.2 miles and take the first exit to the right which will bring you onto business Rt. 6. At the
end of the ramp turn right towards Tunkhannock and after just 100 yards turn left onto Jayne Road and the entrance to the
230 West Plaza. Stay to the right around the front of the building and find a parking space at the end of the building or
around in the back.
From Pittston: Take Rt. 92 North all the way to Tunkhannock. To bypass the center of town, Turn left at the first traffic light you come to on the edge of Tunkhannock. That puts you on the Rt. 6 bypass heading west. Follow the directions above--staying straight at the traffic light at the end of the Rt. 29 bridge. To instead go through the center of town from Rt. 92, go straight across the bypass and across the Tunkhannock Creek bridge. At the stop sign turn left onto business Rt. 6, which is Tioga Street. At the traffic light in the center of town stay straight. Our office is on the right side about 1.4 miles from the center of town. You'll turn right into the 230 West Plaza soon after passing the Tunkhannock Public Library.
From the Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton Airport: Driving out of the airport you will be on route 315 South. After 1.1 miles you
you take a sharp right onto Chestnut Street/Main Street. It's the first large intersection you'll come to, and there's no left turn
there. After just 0.25 miles on Main Street, you'll turn left across an iron bridge onto Pittston Avenue/Rt. 11. At the second
traffic light, after 1.8 miles on Rt. 11, you'll turn right onto Willams Street which will take you down a long hill into downtown Pittston. At the first traffic light you turn right on to Main street. After a few hundred yards you'll turn left across a low concrete bridge over the Susquehanna river. After you get off the bridge you'll bear to your right onto Rt. 92 North--look for the sign to know you're on the right road. You'll stay on this road for 23 miles, at the halfway point you'll cross the Susquehanna river bridge in Falls and turn left to stay on Rt. 92N. For the rest, follow the directions above to our clinic from Pittston.
From Scranton and Clarks Summit: From most locations, the quickest and most pleasant route to Tunkhannock is not Rt 6 from Clarks Summit. It's best to take 307 North from Clarks Summit or Keyser avenue to 92 North. From Scranton, get off the Scranton Expressway at the Keyser Avenue Exit. Turn left to go under the Expressway and railroad bridge and then right onto Rt 307 (Morgan Highway). Those coming from Dickson City or Carbondale will turn right at the end of the exit ramp and then right again up the Morgan Highway (Rt. 307). After passing Lake Winola and traveling about 10 miles, 307 merges into Rt. 92 North. Then follow directions from Pittson above when you reach the first traffic light on the edge of Tunkhannock.
If you take Rt. 6 from Clarks Summit to Tunkhannock, then at the edge of Tunkhannock you can either stay to the right for
Bus. 6/Tioga Street or stay to the left on the Rt. 6 bypass. Follow directions as above from Tioga Street or the bypass.
From Rt. 6 from Points North and West: If you're traveling south/east on Rt. 6 from points north, you'll come down Russell Hill and stay to the left as you enter Tunkhannock, onto Rt. 6 Business/Tioga Street. After passing NAPA Auto Center on your left you'll turn left onto Jayne Road and then right into the 230 West Tioga Plaza.
From Harrisburg or Points South travelling North on Rt. 81: Take exit 170B for Wilkes-Barre onto Rt. 309 North towards Dallas. You will go up a long hill on 309 and through several stoplights until you come to a light in Dallas where you veer to the right to stay on 309 North. After 7.5 miles, 309 North becomes 29 North and takes you into Tunkhannock. You'll cross the Susquehanna river bridge in Tunkhannock and turn left as per the directions from Wilkes-Barre and Dallas above.
You can also come to Tunkhannock by exiting Rt. 81 at Pittston-Dupont, but the route is more complicated. You exit to the
right and stop at the bottom of the ramp. Get immediately into the left lane on Rt. 315 and turn left at that first traffic light onto Oak street. You'll go straight through the next two lights you encounter and continue another mile until you come to the traffic light at a "T" with a four-lane road. You'll turn right there onto the Pittston bypass (Rt. 11). At the next traffic light (1 mile) at the Curry Donut shop you'll take a sharp left turn onto Williams street (Rt. 11 North) which you will stay on for about a mile down into Pittston. Turn right at the next traffic light which is Main Street. Follow the direction as give above for coming from the Airport and Pittston.
From the Northeast extension of the PA Turnpike: Exit at Wilkes-Barre exit and take Rt. 115 North (Bear Creek Blvd)
down a long hill into Wilkes-Barre. Stay straight on 115 as it becomes Rt. 309 North to Dallas. You will go up a long hill on 309 and through several stoplights until you come to a light where you will veer to the right to stay on 309 North. After 7.5miles, 309 North becomes 29 North and takes you into Tunkhannock. You'll cross the Susquehanna river bridge in Tunkhannock and continue through the first light to the second light in the center of town. Turn left onto Rt. 6/Tioga street. Our office is on the right side after 1.4 miles.
You can also get off the turnpike later at the Wyoming Valley Interchange and follow the signs to Route 315 South to
Wilkes-Barre. You will merge onto Route 315 South and turn right at the first traffic light onto Oak Street. Follow directions
from Oak Street as given above for Route 81, Pittston-Dupont exit above.
From Points North traveling South on Rt. 81: Get off at the Clarks Summit exit. Follow signs to Route 6 West. You'll
merge onto Rt. 6 and follow it through Clarks Summit and on to Tunkhannock. See directions from Clarks Summit above.
From Binghamton: You have several choices that are shorter, quicker, and more enjoyable than taking 81 South to Clarks
Summit and then 6 West to Tunkhannock. From west of Binghamton, take 26 South to 267 South into Meshoppen. Turn right at the stop sign in town and then left onto Rt. 6 East to Tunkhannock. Follow directions for "Rt. 6 from Points North and West". From north and east of Binghamton, take Rt. 81 South to Exit 1. Turn right onto Rt. 20 West/Corporate Parkway,
travel 1 mile and turn left onto Rt. 7 South. After 1.5 miles turn right onto Rt. 29 South/Montrose Drive. This will take you
through Montrose into Tunkhannock. At the stoplight in the center of Tunkhannock, turn right onto Tioga Street/Bus. 6. Follow directions above from the center of Tunkhannock. Alternatively you can stay on 81 South until exit 223 in New Milford, PA. From the off-ramp turn left onto Rt. 492 West, and after a short distance turn left onto 11 South. Rt. 11 is an unusually wide, straight highway with little traffic. You'll eventually come to Rt. 6 between Clarks Summit and Tunkhannock where you'll stay to the right on Rt. 6 West towards Tunkhannock and follow directions from Clarks Summit above. From downtown Binghamton, the most direct route is to take State Street across the Susquehanna River and turn left onto Pennsylvania Ave./Rt. 117 South. Turn left onto Rt. 167 South at the Pennsylvania border. Rt. 167 is a narrow winding road through farm country--but driveable enough. As you enter Montrose, turn left on Rt. 706, then right onto Rt. 29 South to Tunkhannock.
